Van de Kamp's Holland Dutch Bakery, J. Edwin Hopkins, Architect 1930

Designed by New York architect J. Edward Hopkins to resemble a Dutch 16th century farmhouse, the only example of an industrial plant in the Dutch Renaissance Revival style. The bakery closed after Van de Kamp‘s filed for Chapter 11 in 1990. It sat vacant for two decades. The building is a designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument, declared in 1992.
